PANORAMA CITY – Two men were shot and wounded by a gunman who asked them where they were from before opening fire, police said Sunday. A 32-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot in the chest about 11:10 p.m. Saturday near Van Nuys Boulevard and Plummer Street, Los Angeles police Sgt. Julian Mu oz said. A 23-year-old man he was with was shot in the hip and was in stable condition. Both men said they were not affiliated with a gang, said Mu oz, of the Mission Division. Police are looking for a Latino man, about 25 years old, and a white man, about 20 years old, who fled the shooting on foot. They do not know which one was the gunman.
