first_imgJob SummaryThe director will provide the vision and leadership required tosupport and enhance the mission of the Nursing Programs (AssociateDegree Nursing and Licensed Practical Nursing). Primaryadministrative responsibilities include programdevelopment/management, continuous review, planning, budgetadministration, general effectiveness of the programs,accreditation, and providing supervision/mentoring to part-timefaculty. Instructional responsibilities require a broad-basedknowledge of the nursing in the health industry. The Director is amember of the full-time faculty and reports to the Dean of HealthSciences. In addition, the director is responsible for supportingstudent success by creating an optimum learning environment,responding to student needs, managing effective instructionalactivities, developing curriculum courses, modeling employabilityskills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative workrelationships with other faculty and staff, supporting collegeadministrative requirements, and maintaining competency in theirinstructional field. He/she will be responsible for qualityinstruction and for effective participation and interest in thetotal affairs of the college. The director serves as teachingfaculty and is required to instruct one class/year.Education Required- Master’s of Nursing degree in Education from a regionallyaccredited post-secondary institution – Current unrestrictedlicense or multistate license privilege to practice as a registerednurse in North CarolinaEducation Preferred- Doctoral degree in nursing education administration oreducation from a regionally accredited post-secondaryinstitutionExperience Required- Minimum 3 years of full-time experience in clinical nursingpractice as a registered nurse within the past 10 years. – Minimum3 years of full-time post-secondary teaching experience in a boardapproved nursing program – Progressive administrative experience ina post-secondary, board approved nursing program within the last 5years. – Participation in implementing requirements for state boardof nursing approval and national accreditation standards -Experience with faculty supervision including performanceevaluation – Experience in budget development and management -Experience with enrollment management, curriculum/programdevelopment, and academic assessment – Experience with onlineLearning Management Systems and technologyExperience Preferred- Greater than 3 years of full-time experience in clinicalnursing practice as a registered nurse – Greater than 3 years offull-time post-secondary teaching experience in a board approvednursing program – Community college teaching and/or administrativeexperiencelast_img read more

Thanks to Donegal players Martin Reilly & Caolan Mc Gonigle who attended last Friday. Thanks to all the helpers to the coaches, those who donated home baking etc and to all who helped out in any way to make our Camp the great success it was.
